Theme slogan is Strengthened by First Nations. Moments. Connections. Stories.. The VFL joins the celebration across its men’s and women’s seasons. The event has evolved from a single Indigenous Round in 2007 named for Sir Doug Nicholls in 2016. AFL unveils 2026 Sir Doug Nicholls Round at Marvel Stadium across Melbourne venues.
