The Ottawa Marathon hosts thousands annually as Canada's premier spring marathon, begins at Ottawa City Hall, and serves as a national championship for Canadian distance competitions. Race Weekend includes the half marathon, 10K, a 5K race, 2K, as well as a kids' marathon, totalling over 40,000 participants historically. The marathon course is a Boston-qualifying route, that starts and finishes at Ottawa City Hall. Since 1975, it stands as Canada’s largest spring marathon.
