It was a night to forget for Melbourne Victory, beaten 3-0 by Kingborough Lions in the Australia Cup at the Showgrounds in Hobart. About 3,000 people turned up and watched an A-League Men side get pushed around, that defeat sending Victory out of the cup straight away. Melbourne City meanwhile had a far simpler night, beating Weston Bears 3-0. Both clubs now move on to the final 16 of the cup. Victory will look to reset quickly with a league game right around the corner.
