Ed Husic, Australia’s Industry and Science Minister, criticised Labour’s inner culture after his plan to permit a discussion on recognising Gaza failed to pass.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said described his statement at a gathering as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unbothered by criticism, stating reporters: "put me in a ice box, I couldn't care less."
The dispute followed failed attempts to push the party to declare events in Gaza as genocide.
Leaked files and internal files were later filed that revealed deep divisions within Labour’s ranks over policy and leadership.
