The Prince of Wales visited the site in July 2023 to see the extension, glasshouse, and gardens. Funds from the Duchy support the Duke’s public, private, and charitable activities. The nursery lies within the Duchy estate and is part of a long-standing estate operation which began public access in 1975. Growth over 50 years has expanded the site. The nursery is among the South West’s most respected nurseries. Duchy of Cornwall Nursery continues to expand facilities including a new extension and maintains a focus on nature and horticulture.
