One day after having surgery on his clavicle after a crash at the Catalunya Grand Prix, MotoGP rider Álex Márquez was expected to leave the hospital on Monday.

He was taken to hospital and subsequently had surgery for a fractured right collarbone, and a C7 vertebrae fracture. A plate was used in the clavicle repair. Gresini Racing stated he remained conscious after the incident. Fabio Di Giannantonio took victory. He is expected to miss Mugello and Balaton races.
